Catterick Parish Council
Catterick Village Cricket Club (C.V.C.C) was formed in 1936 to provide parishioners of Catterick Village and the surrounding area with the opportunity to play cricket. The Cricket Club is affiliated to the Darlington and District Cricket League and, at present, plays in the 'A' Division on Saturdays throughout the summer. A number of midweek cup competitions are also entered.
The club is very popular within the area and matches are regularly supported by many enthusiastic followers. The club is also very proud of its cricket square, which is maintained to a high standard solely by the hard work of club members.
Recently the Cricket Club has been linked with the Yorkshire 'All-Stars' Cricket Project to help an encouraging number of junior players develop their basic skills and progress to playing the game at a higher level.
Catterick Village Cricket Club is a founder member of the Catterick Village Sports Association.
